Saint Martin Sailing Club (SMSC) is a non-profit built around one sport: high-performance multihull sailing in the Caribbean trade winds and the warm, turquoise waters of Saint Martin. That focus on performance shows up in our fleet — Diam 24 trimarans, Formula 18 catamarans, and an ORC 50 catamaran — and in everything we build around it, from coached training programs to a full racing calendar. Whether you just started developing your multihull skills or a visiting crew chartering a boat for the season, SMSC gives you a real path onto the water.

We believe that time spent sailing changes the way people see the ocean. It builds a deeper appreciation for its power and beauty, and leaves an impression that lasts long after the sail ends. That connection to the water is exactly why raising environmental consciousness matters so much to us — we want every sailor who comes through SMSC to leave with a stronger sense of responsibility for protecting it. Our community runs on more than sailing talent — it runs on people willing to pitch in. Race committee, event logistics, boat maintenance, coaching support: if you've got a few hours and some enthusiasm, there's a role for you, whether or not you're the one steering.

Being based in Saint Martin isn't incidental to what SMSC does. The island's steady trade winds and the protected waters of Simpson Bay Lagoon are a big part of why high-performance multihull training works here. It also means training happens in one of the Caribbean's best-known sailing destinations — home to the Heineken Regatta since 1980. Fly into Princess Juliana International Airport and most of the island's marinas, including ours, are just minutes away.
